Wenjing China Travel is an independent personal brand run by a tourism professional from China. The publisher maintains this guide and reviews voluntary traveler contributions when its forms are open.
What the forms collect
The survey asks about interests and concerns, with an optional country or region. The survey also accepts your impressions of China. Story and contact forms accept your text and an optional email address, including travel suggestions and problems you experienced. A story may include an optional photo or album link, caption, credit name and separate photo permission. Please do not include passport numbers, payment details, precise private addresses or other sensitive information.
How contributions are used
Responses are kept in a private WordPress inbox for editorial review and research. They are not published automatically. The story form lets you choose research-only use or permission for anonymous excerpts after editorial review. An email address is used only to respond to your contribution, not to add you to a mailing list.
Photo links and publication choices
Photo links are stored privately with your response. The form does not upload or automatically download photographs. A reviewer may open your link using the external hosting service, which has its own privacy settings. Share only the album you intend to submit. Photo permission is separate from story permission: review only, website publication with your chosen credit, or website publication without a name. No photo is published automatically. Approved published stories and photographs are separate editorial records and are not removed by the 180-day raw-response cleanup. Contact the publisher to request removal from this site.
Retention and access
Form entries are available only to site administrators and are scheduled for deletion after 180 days. Deletion runs when the site’s daily WordPress task executes; hosting backups may retain earlier copies according to the host’s backup schedule.
Technical data
The form uses a short-lived, one-way keyed hash of the connection IP address to limit repeat submissions. The raw IP is not saved with your form entry by Wenjing Core. The website is hosted on Hostinger. Hosting and security services may separately keep access logs. Direct email correspondence is handled through Gmail and is separate from the form’s automatic retention schedule. WordPress uses cookies for signed-in administration; this feature does not add marketing analytics.
Your choices
Submitting a form is optional. You may ask us to review or delete a contribution by providing its receipt code. Avoid including identifying details in free text if you prefer not to identify yourself.
